Diving into Fisheries Science: A free workshop

Organization: The Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation is a Rhode Island-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by commercial fishermen to conduct collaborative fisheries research and education projects. Our mission is to conduct and support research projects that promote sustainable fisheries for the benefit of all. We are also dedicated to increasing awareness of fisheries topics, educating others about our research, and training the next generation of fisheries scientists through outreach and education initiatives.

Opportunity: The Commercial Fisheries Research Foundation is dedicated to increasing awareness of fisheries topics, educating others about our research, and training the next generation of fisheries scientists through outreach and education initiatives. We are proud to offer a free by-request workshop to introduce students to fisheries science and provide resources for students interested in pursuing an impact-driven, community-oriented career in science.

Note: This workshop is best suited for upper-level high school students or college freshmen. Other age groups will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
