About the Organization and Opportunity

Organization: The Rhode Island Army National Guard is a component of the United States Army that serves both federal and state governments. Its members are part-time soldiers who can be called up for federal service or deployed by the state governor to respond to emergencies and disasters within Rhode Island.

Opportunity: Reach out to your local recruiter to attend one of our “Guard Experience” events! You'll get a behind the scenes look at multiple National Guard careers by trying out job-related tasks at different stations. Think of it like a mini career fair where you can touch, try, and learn. Take a tour of a National Guard facility. See where we train, work, and prepare for missions. Learn about different career paths from mechanics, medics, even Army Band members. Come see what they do day to day as a Guard member.

Note: Must be at least 17 years of age & completed Sophomore year of high school.
