About the Organization and Opportunity
Organization: Brown University Health Workforce Development provides the opportunities, inspiration, and education to help you find your career in healthcare. Workforce Development at Brown University Health offers practical work experience, mentorship under professional career experts, training, and education strategies. Brown Health’s Workforce Development program was created for underemployed and unemployed adults (18+) looking to become trained and certified for today’s most in-demand entry-level healthcare positions that can lead to meaningful employment and career success. They also offer a Summer Youth Employment (SYE) program for Rhode Islanders ages 16 to 19. This is an eight-week, full-time paid employment opportunity that can lead to a meaningful career path in healthcare, with experience for lifetime success.
Opportunity: This career readiness workshop helps participants create or improve their resume so they can effectively showcase their skills, experience and achievements to employers. Participants will gain answers to frequently asked questions, learn how to create a professional summary, review the breakdown of each resume section and learn design and formatting tips.
Registration is REQUIRED: Please send attending student's first and last name, grade level, school, and email address to Lindsay Minto at Lindsay.Minto@brownhealth.org
